Presidents’ Day – School in Session

Sumter County Schools will be in session on Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 16, 2026. All schools and offices will operate on a regular schedule.

Please note that this day will serve as a weather make-up day for the school closure that occurred on January 26, 2026 due to inclement weather.

Inside Sumter County Schools with Dr. Marcy Burroughs every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:00 a.m.
Pre-K Registration will be open January 15–March 30!
Students are accepted through a random drawing. Parents/Guardians do not need to be present.
The drawing will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Sumter County Board of Education.
Families will receive email notifications about acceptance status in mid-April.
