Sumter County Schools would like to inform parents and guardians of updates regarding our 2026 summer programs.
Due to low enrollment, Summer Enrichment has been canceled for students in grades 6–11. Summer Enrichment and JumpStart will continue for students in grades PreK–5 from June 1 to June 25, 2026, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Registration for Summer Enrichment is now closed.
Summer School (Credit Recovery) for students in grades 6–11 will still be offered from June 1 – July 17, 2026, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Summer School is free for Sumter County School students who need to recover a class.
Please note: Summer Enrichment and Summer School are only available to students enrolled in Sumter County Schools.

Sumter County Public Schools proudly announces that the Sumter Central High School Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2026 will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the SCHS Gymnasium.
**Important Reminder:**
All attendees ages 1 year and older must have a ticket for entry.
To help ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all graduates and guests, the following items are not permitted inside the gymnasium:
