Hello! I’m Dr. Marcy Burroughs, Superintendent of Sumter County Schools, and I want to warmly welcome all of our students, families, teachers, staff, and community partners back for what promises to be an exciting and successful school year!

Our team has been working hard all summer to ensure that everything is in place for a strong start on Day One—Monday, August 4. Classrooms are ready, resources are in place, and we can’t wait to welcome your children back to safe, supportive learning environments across the district.
